The website

The public website provides general information about Elgin Trucking LLC. Freight rates, schedules and capacity are confirmed only by our dispatch team; nothing on the website is an offer to haul a particular shipment.

The employee portal

• The portal is for drivers, dispatchers and administrators authorized by Elgin Trucking LLC. Accounts are created by an administrator.
• Keep your username and password confidential and use only your own account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been used without permission.
• Records in the portal — loads, mileage, weekly statements and earnings summaries — are business records. Weekly statements and annual summaries are earnings records; they are not payments, payroll or tax forms. Contact dispatch promptly if something looks wrong.
• Do not attempt to access records that are not yours, interfere with the portal, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access to protect the company, its people or its records.

Text messages

Drivers may choose to receive text messages about their loads. That program is described in our SMS Terms, and how we handle mobile numbers is described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The website and portal are provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, Elgin Trucking LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from their use or temporary unavailability. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under your employment or contractor agreement or under applicable law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version.
